During three of my four years at Messiah, I served as an author, site manager, and editor for Messiah's Cinemablography project,
which serves to chart a cinematic map of the 21st century in film in addition to help bridge the gap between academia and popular culture. I wrote many blogs over the three years for Cinemablography, with topics ranging from current director profiles to behind-the-scenes looks from different films to new techniques and aesthetics being used in the industry today (such as the long shot) I have also written film reviews including Robert Zemeckis' The Walk and Christopher Nolan's 2014 sci-fi film Interstellar, among many others. I have also contributed to the Science Fiction section of the site, writing a paper on Francis Lawrence's apocalyptic thriller I Am Legend. Ultimately, I carried my love of writing for Cinemablography into my film reviews which I currently write for every film that I see in theaters. |
